We Talk About Everything—Except the One Who Matters Most

We do this all the time.

You don’t need a script to talk about your favorite movie. Or the new coffee shop downtown. Or the vacation you just took. If someone mentions a dog and you love dogs? You’re in. Someone says something about grandkids? Watch the pictures come out.

We talk about what we love. We do it naturally. We light up. We lean in. We speak with joy, without fear.

So here’s the question:
If we love Jesus… why don’t we talk about Him like that?

💬 This Isn’t About Being Pushy

Let’s be clear about what this blog is not.

It’s not telling you to preach at your friends.
It’s not asking you to force a conversation that isn’t ready.
And it’s definitely not saying you need to have all the right answers.

Evangelization isn’t a sales pitch—it’s an invitation to life.
It’s not about technique. It’s about love.

And love speaks.

😬 Why We Stay Quiet

We all have reasons. Fear of awkwardness. Not wanting to offend. Feeling unqualified. Thinking people aren’t interested. Waiting for a better moment.

But here’s the truth:

We don’t hesitate to talk about the things we actually love.

So maybe the real problem isn’t fear.

Maybe we’ve forgotten how much we love Him.
Or maybe we’ve just gotten distracted.
Maybe we’ve reduced Jesus to church language and religious spaces, instead of someone who walks with us through the day.

If Jesus is your friend, your Savior, your life—He should show up in your words the same way everything else you love does.

👣 Start Small. Be Real.

You don’t need a dramatic testimony. You don’t need a theology degree. You just need to speak honestly.

When someone shares a struggle, say:

“I’ve been praying about that.”
“You know, Jesus helped me through something like this…”
“I know this might sound strange, but I really believe God is with you in this.”

These moments don’t require perfection. They require presence.
Just say His name.

That one sentence may be the moment God uses to open a heart.

👀 They’re Already Watching

Before you say a word, your life speaks.

Your peace. Your humility. Your joy. Your calm when things fall apart.
If people know you follow Jesus, they’re already watching.

And when they finally lean in and ask, “How do you stay so grounded?” or “Where do you find peace?” — that’s your moment.

Don’t hesitate. Don’t shrink back.

Say His name.

Start your day with this:

“Jesus, give me someone to love today—and the courage to speak Your name.”

That’s it.

And when the moment comes, trust that He’ll give you the words.

🚪 Don’t Miss the Moment

You talk about what you love.
So if you love Him… let that show up in your conversations.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be willing.

Say His name this week.
Let someone hear you speak of Jesus—not as an idea, but as someone real.
Because He is.
