Jesus Wasn’t Nice—He Was a Warrior
We often hear that God is love. That’s absolutely true. And since Jesus is God, that means He is love. But love doesn’t mean nice.
Nice is telling someone what they want to hear, even if it’s a lie. Nice is patting a man on the back and saying, “Everything’s fine,” when you know he’s headed for destruction. Nice avoids conflict, avoids truth, avoids pain.
Love is different. Love lays down its life for the other. Love runs into the fire. Love fights. Love speaks the truth in kindness
That’s who Jesus is.
We Didn’t Need a Nice Guy
Humanity wasn’t, and isn’t, doing fine. We were captives—enslaved by sin, as hopeless as a prisoner in Auschwitz or a young girl trapped in sex slavery today. We couldn’t, and still can’t, free ourselves.
We didn’t need a soft smile and soothing words. We didn’t need a nice guy.
We needed a warrior. And that’s exactly who Jesus was.
The Warrior King in Action
Look at how Jesus lived:
- He confronted evil. He cast out demons with a word (Mark 1:23–27).
- He spoke hard truth. He rebuked the Pharisees’ hypocrisy (Matthew 23), and even corrected His own apostles when they were wrong (Matthew 16:23).
- He commanded nature itself. He stilled the storm with a rebuke (Mark 4:39).
- He brought life where there was death. At Lazarus’ tomb, He wept (John 11:35)—and then called His friend back from the grave (John 11:43–44).
- He overturned corruption in God’s house. With a whip in hand, He drove out the moneychangers (John 2:15).
- He walked straight into danger. When the time came, He set His face toward Jerusalem, knowing the Cross awaited Him (Luke 9:51).
He didn’t wield a sword of steel. He wielded the sword of the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12, Revelation 19:15).
The Cross: His Greatest Battle
From the outside, the Cross looked like weakness—blood, shame, nails, death. To His enemies, Jesus looked like a victim.
But in reality, the Cross was D-Day. It was the storming of the beaches. It was the King going behind enemy lines to destroy the enemy from the inside.
The Apostle Paul tells us that on the Cross, Jesus “disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15). What looked like defeat was the greatest victory in history.
Even as He forgave the very men who drove the nails (Luke 23:34), He was waging war. He entered into death itself—not to be conquered, but to conquer it.
He crushed the gates of our Auschwitz and bound our enslaver so if we choose, we can be free to go into battle with Jesus – our warrior king.
The Call to Men Today
Jesus didn’t come to make you nice. He came to make you dangerous—to Satan.
Yes, He is compassionate. Yes, He is merciful. Yes, He wept, and still weeps. But He was never soft. He was never tame. He was a Warrior King who fought for us when we were enslaved and helpless.
And now He calls you to follow Him. To fight for your wife. To lead your children. To speak truth in a world full of lies. To storm the gates of hell—not as a victim, but as a warrior.
Rise and Follow
Jesus wasn’t nice. He was a Warrior.
And He’s calling you into the same fight.
The only question is—will you rise and follow Him?

Satan’s Society Weakens Men—and Families Collapse
For seventy years, Satan has been reshaping society — convincing us masculinity is toxic, truth is hate, and sin is freedom. The result? Weak men. And weak men create collapsing families, crumbling churches, and a culture that mocks God.
