Why Do We Need Rescued?
Have you ever looked at the world — or your own heart — and thought, “What happened?” Why are things so messed up? Why do we feel so distant from peace, from joy, even from God?
This 3-minute visual demonstration will change how you see sin forever. If you haven’t already, pause and watch it now.
Here’s the truth: we don’t just need a little help. We need rescued.
We were created for union — to live in oneness with God, overflowing with His love, His goodness, His Spirit. That was the plan. Not just to behave well or try harder, but to actually be one with Him. That’s what we were made for.
But sin broke everything.
Whether it’s one drop or a flood, sin separates. It pollutes what was once pure. You saw it in the water — when our souls are stained by sin, the purity of that union is lost. It’s not just a problem; it’s a disaster. And we can’t fix it.
Sin is not just a list of mistakes. It’s devastation. It enslaves. It isolates. It leads to spiritual death — and death isn’t just something that happens when we die. It haunts us now: disconnection, addiction, self-loathing, division, loneliness. We feel it every day.
And Satan? He delights in it. He mocks, accuses, and controls. The Bible calls him a strong man guarding his palace — and we’re the possessions. He uses lies, shame, fear, and confusion to keep us bound. And unless someone stronger comes… there’s no way out.
That’s why we need rescued.
Not reformed. Not inspired. Rescued.
And thank God — Jesus didn’t leave us in this. He saw our chains and came after us. But before we talk about the Cross, the victory, the rescue — we need to feel the weight of what He came to save us from.
Because if we don’t understand how bad the bad news is, we’ll never grasp how good the Good News really is.
So here’s the invitation: don’t rush past this moment. Sit with it. Let Jesus show you what sin has done… and what He longs to restore. Write Him a letter. Talk to Him honestly. Let yourself feel the weight of it — because the deeper you go into the truth, the higher you’ll rise when He lifts you.
He didn’t leave you here. He rescued you.
