He Had It the Whole Time
This past week—or maybe two—so many things turned around in my life that it left me kind of stunned.
A situation with one of my kids drastically improved.
A strained relationship softened and got better.
A business opportunity we’d been waiting on finally moved forward.
My back, which had gotten so bad I thought another surgery was inevitable, made a sudden turn for the better.
And to top it all off, God showed me how I could actually do something I’d thought was impossible—the Camino Way—even with my limitations.
And all of this happened… fast.
When I finally stopped to take it all in, I had this instinctive, business-minded thought: What did I do right?
What actions, what strategies, what tweaks had I made that led to all this progress?
And the answer?
Nothing.
Not a single one of these breakthroughs happened because I “got it right.”
They happened because God was moving. Quietly. Powerfully. In His own way.
And I just had to step back and watch.
Of course, God isn’t saying I don’t have a role to play. He wants us to act. To pray. To cooperate.
But this week, He made something really clear to me:
“Dan, I don’t need your help with everything. I’ve got this. And you’ve got to learn to trust Me.”
